Membership Committee


The membership committee monitors all aspects of membership, including bringing in new members, educating them about the League, and then encouraging them to become involved in ways that fit their interests and skills. The committee develops and implements new-member recruitment opportunities, maintains a continually updated list of members, and undertakes annual membership renewals.

Objectives:
  • Recruits new members to LWVH
  • Provides education about LWVH to new members
  • Matches new members with appropriate committees and activities based on her/his interests and skills
  • Maintains an updated membership list
  • Revises and reviews new membership material
  • Coordinates membership annual renewal


Accomplishments:
  • Members increased from 65 member in to 80 in 2 years
  • Provides a New Member Social event to engage new members in LWVH activities
  • Developed new ways to recruit members (give example)

  • Educate new members about LWV mission, policies, activities at national, state and local levels
  • Help organize the New Member Social
  • Help organize LWVH membership list and annual renewals
