Hospitality Committee


Hospitality Committee
After determining the meeting schedule for the year, the Hospitality Committee is responsible for securing appropriate locations for each meeting or social event, planning details, coordinating with the host and being the key contact for that event. At each event, members of the hospitality committee greet each attendee, provide name tags, and generally make folks welcome to the LWVH.

Objectives:
  • Secures appropriate locations for each meeting or social events
  • Develops, organizes and implements events through tasks such as coordination of refreshments, engaging with the event host and securing reservations
  • Greats event attendees and ensures a welcoming atmosphere


Accomplishments:
  • Planned monthly member meetings securing a variety of cost free venues
  • Planned social activities such as the Annual Meeting, August Social and Holiday Party


How Committee Members help?
  • Research new venue options
  • Engage with the event host
  • Be a greeter at an event
  • Ensure appropriate refreshments and materials are available at events
